Knowing how to join yarn will be very useful.Marinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18138266794924614352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15600438.post-1152638732195829992006-07-11T11:25:00.000-06:002006-07-11T11:25:00.000-06:00looks like a fun idea. could you explain why makin...looks like a fun idea. could you explain why making those things helps?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15600438.post-1152558397731604332006-07-10T13:06:00.000-06:002006-07-10T13:06:00.000-06:00You are inspiring me! Now after seeing your work and reading about what you learned, I think I will be getting it out.
Your one-skein SPAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15600438.post-1152470453427458092006-07-09T12:40:00.000-06:002006-07-09T12:40:00.000-06:00Hi Rebecca,The Marina is in my Feb archives down t...Hi Rebecca,
The Marina is in my Feb archives down toward the bottom. The Na Craga and Erin were done long before digital photography...maybe I'll photograph the Erin and put it in my photo albums...the Na Craga lives with Mom and Dad. Erin took me 2 years!! Mostly b/c it was asymmetrical fairisle--impossible to memorize. I don't recall what it was made in--probably the yarn called for when A.S yarns were sold at LYS's. I'll also photograph John's sweater finished last year and put in in my 2005 album...

Re: the blog...Are you using internet explorer? It is notorious for not handling web page code as well as some other browsers. I use Firefox--it is more secure and handles code much better! (free, too) I used to check the display on both, but I've found I'm too lazy to tweak my code to display in IE. Try Firefox if you've time. You might like it!

Also--Virtual Yarns. Never ordered. One reason I want to is to get the updated pattern, which is resized for smaller folk. Again--too lazy to tweak the original in Aran Knitting...too many other projects to consider. My Spring Forward is still in skein form g Cotton Fleece in Malibu Blue. I'm excited to do St Brigid, though. Will be fun!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15600438.post-1152460554389191782006-07-09T09:55:00.000-06:002006-07-09T09:55:00.000-06:00They look like colorful fishies hanging there in t...They look like colorful fishies hanging there in the sun. I had the Sweater Workshop, but sold it because I am just not ready for that yet. The St Brigid has LONG been on my Must Knit list...I've spent quite a bit of time on Virtual Yarns pondering colors etc. This is one KAL I'm obviously going to have to join. Will you send me the details? What yarn are you using et al?

Also...LOVE the button. Thanks so much. I'm gonna "steal" it...
Blessings,
Suz
PS...what's going on w/ your Spring Forward?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15600438.post-1152397748224183532006-07-08T16:29:00.000-06:002006-07-08T16:29:00.000-06:00I love that book. Between it and Ann Budd's Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns I realized I could take a random pattern that I liked and figure out the math and make it the size I wanted, change the collar, and/or convert it from flat to round (in most cases) among other things without being completely lost.

P.S. You're going to knit St. Brigid? That's on my "to do" list but I'm not sure I'll ever actually do it because it's so... so... cable-y it would take me 10 years. I love it, though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15600438.post-1152396829706137222006-07-08T16:13:00.000-06:002006-07-08T16:13:00.000-06:00Hi. I'm Lynda in Oklahoma. I'm using Cascade 220 and Vicki (of Knitorious) also used this yarn. If you haven't already checked her blog archives, you should. Her finished sweater is gorgeous! Also, if you go to the group website, I think you could search for yarns and see what everyone else is using.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
